There is more to Garstang than just the Victorian Christmas Festival! It is the culmination of a year-long programme of events which make Garstang a special place to live and to visit. Visit in Spring for the Walking Festival and the Children’s Festival, come in Summer and see the town in all it’s floral glory (Garstang is many times winner of Gold Medals in Britain in Bloom, and even won Gold in the European ‘Entente Florale’). Late Summer and Autumn sees the Agricultural Show and the Arts Festival. Garstang is an ideal base for walks or cycle rides in the nearby Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Garstang Walking Festival

The Garstang Walking Festival, at the begining of May each year is a great opportunity to explore the local area on foot, mainly led by local volunteers with a vast knowledge of the area.

Garstang and District Children’s Festival

The Garstang and District Children’s Festival takes place on Spring Bank Holiday Monday. It is a great day for the town, especially for the children! Schools and local children’s organsations put on a show not to be missed.

Garstang Agricultural Show

Over 100 trade stands and shops, Bar and Catering/Luncheon Tent. Not to be missed! The event attracts in the region of 15,000 people making it a superb day out for all the family.

Garstang Arts & Music Festival

The Arts and Music Festival has been running in Garstang for nearly 15 years. The festival takes place in August and is for one week (ending on Bank Holiday Saturday).
